Tasked with the last-minute installation of both the kitchen and utility in a brand-new extension, we faced the challenge of working with an in-frame kitchen. Adding complexity, an external contractor was simultaneously spray-finishing the units, doors, and panels in a paintable white. To navigate this, we implemented a phased approach, first fitting all the carcasses, followed by the spray finishing, and then sending the doors to the workshop for additional spraying before final installation. The kitchen featured integrated appliances, including a Bora downdraft extractor on the island, larder units, and integrated fridges/freezers. Despite the intricacies, the project was completed successfully. Since the project's initiation in early 2023, we've continued to collaborate with this client on various tasks, including study units, wardrobes, under stairs cupboards, and numerous other projects, establishing a strong and ongoing working relationship.
